I've been married 2 and a half years. When my boy and I meet other young married couples they often comment on how hard the first year of marriage. But for us it simply hasn't been the case. I think part of this may be due to us moving into a share house when we got married.. We would be lonely what with working different hours all the time if there was no one else in the house. Not to mention the added finacial strain. Plus it means we get to deliberatly share time with people much more often, and not slink away into the marriage hideaway that often happens.
I am so thankful for our lovely housemates. Initially I didn't think I would want to live in a share house for long, but now I love being surrounded by near and dear people. Humans need companionship. And so I dream of a home, with a massive back garden and friends to play music with late at night. And huge pots of cooking yummies to share. I love cooking for other people and I hate cooking just for me. New bits of art work popping up on walls. And always someone around to give you a hug if you need one.
That's my dream for now.
Beautiful beautiful dream...lovely mental images of home indeed!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a nice dream to have for your home...I think one of the greatest things about loving someone is how you will interact with the world together. You've got a great plan so far :)
