The fireplaces had been boarded up and we hadn't gotten around to uncovering them yet. The flood changed that...
They are back to back, one in the living room one in the dining. I want the one in the living to be a wood fire for special occasions and hopefully we can make the dining room one a gas heater for heating the whole house. The original features of this house have withstood the flood the best, and we hope to restore them all as much as is practical.
