Things to be Thankful For*

* How pretty frost is (yes it has begun).
* Bonfire cooked potatoes.
* Friends bringing me banana bread.
* My first night alone in my home.
* That pounds try to re-home animals - I rescued a stray from playing in the traffic.
* I totally did make that whole roasted cauliflower below. It was amazing.
* Our tree corridor is under way - our garden is taking on a new shape!
* Employment opportunities for my husbando!
* Getting tiny jobs ticked off the (never ending) list. (Paint guest bedroom skirting, tidy sock drawer, fix wonky log in gas fire etc.)

  4. I so miss our woodfire and so do my pets. I love seeing a woodshed piled high with a huge supply of wood ready to keep everyone warm for a long while. I made my dog a coat from an old woollen dressing gown yesterday, it's much colder out in the Riverina than down at the coast. Haven't seen a frost yet! Electric blanket is warming my bed and tomorrow I'm making some pea and ham soup. Winter is good!
