Things to be Thankful For*

* Daffodils. And yellow in general.
* Flowers coming out in our garden.
* Connecting with others who have been through natural disasters. Bitter sweet.
* Our mini holiday.
* The electrician said "We may even start next week". I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much....
* New friends.
* A break from thinking about work.
* All the nice blogs in the world.
* Eating our first home grown broccoli! What a treat!

  2. Haven't seems any daffs around here, but we've been eating our very first homegrown broccoli too! Although not sure why it's going to flower so quickly though.... Are you finding this? x

    1. I've been told that it helps if you cut off the central flower and let the side ones grow, and also if you tie up their own leaves around the flower heads it stops them bolting to flowers so quickly... Delicious though! *s*

  4. It must have been such an emotional time to meet others who've been through what you went through, Sophie. I think ultimately it's a good thing to do, though. I hope it helps you.

    Spring is just around the corner, my friend! It's my cherry blossom tree and the freesias that herald its arrival for me. They are both just about to burst into bloom with a song. x
