* Smelling; baking gingerbread.
* Waiting; for my boys meeting to hurry up and finish already.
* Feeling; anxious, overwhelmed, sleepy, lucky, happy.
* Hearing; the new Interpol album.
* Aching; in the horse riding muscle department. Ouchy.
* Travelled; on 5 planes in one week.
* Wearing; My new $4 op shop find.
* Thinking; lighting, plumbing, gardening, future, work, dogs, don't forget the cakes in the oven!!!
I feel like I've been all over the place for agggges now. How do you cope when things feel overwhelming? I tend to write lists and try and dig around for an inkling of time to remove myself, breath deep and calm my mind. Also, isn't whelming a lovely word?
ps. That second picture is from a lighting consol I used in Adelaide... this is what it greeted me with when it turned on in the morning... confronting no?!
I don't wake up early enough to appreciate the quiet and unique experiences of that time of the day.
ReplyDeleteI've been all over the place too - I think lists help, and just trying not to 'do it all' helps too. Take care of yourself above all else. Whelming is a lovely word indeed. xx
PS. Wow that message is a little worrying to be greeted with in the morning ... I think I would have just gone back to bed if I saw that! ;)
I love this post. 5 plane rides in one week? Blimey! Hope you settle down soon xx
ReplyDeleteps. I've got a Happy Circus giveaway running at the moment that I think you'll love. Head over and check it out -http://onthefirstdayofmarriage.blogspot.com/2011/03/blog-post_05.html
ha ha, what a weird message on the consol!
ReplyDeletewhat did you think of the interpol album? i was really disappointed.
and lists are always a great way to see where you're at and what you need to get done. that way everything isn't floating around in your head :)
