* My parents swimming pool.
* That thesis of Tim's has gone gone gone.
* Beautiful homegrown food
* Holidays.
* Air conditioning at work and in the car.
* That Australians take a perverse pride in suffering extreme heat (43 for us today)
* The Murrumbidgee river and its ice cold mountain source.
* Roses and agapanthus - they'll put up with anything.
* A better start to my working year than it ended.
