I think if you keep talking to God about stuff, maybe everything will be ok, yeah?

I will just ask though, have you read what C.S. Lewis says about Jesus? Basically it's along the lines of Jesus was either a crazy jerk (ie he claimed he was the son of God) or he is the son of God. He says there are no other options.. It's in Mere Christianity which I polished off the other day. Good read (little old fashioned) if you can plough through the first intimidating chapter.

love xxCarlynnehttp://tinylittleglows.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7828542057592098210.post-75059930625047626932010-06-02T04:07:15.712+10:002010-06-02T04:07:15.712+10:00I know i'm coming to this a little late, but w...I know i'm coming to this a little late, but wanted to say wow, and thank you for blogging this. It is a subject close to my heart and I totally feel where you are. Its incredible and deeply confusing at the same time. In fact do you have an email address? mine is seedsandstitches@googlemail.com. would love to chat more (if that isnt weird?!) out of the confines of a comment box!HannahBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08103931590377956395noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7828542057592098210.post-13784643363593807692010-05-21T12:36:52.275+10:002010-05-21T12:36:52.275+10:00Thank you both for your lovely comments.
For me f...Thank you both for your lovely comments.
For me faith is only ever a deeply personal thing, even people in the same religions all have a slightly different view, even if they dont know it.
We all carry assumptions.
L I very much agree that our language doesn't really have the capacity to describe a "god".
J I also agree with you. I love that about people. I dislike that about people who desperatly want to impose their path on others.

*s*shine little light*https://www.blogger.com/profile/03206534200849897015noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7828542057592098210.post-9947439843485965562010-05-21T01:26:07.392+10:002010-05-21T01:26:07.392+10:00Solid post.

Both claims to be ultimate truth and this at times tears the seeker listening intently to both groups apart in all directions. In my experience trying to decipher the tangled ball of seemingly conflicting and contradicting messages only pushes you further off course than it would bring you any closer to clarity/divinity.

Perhaps there's truth in a lot of things. Perhaps their truth in EVERYTHING. I took to the part of your post where you said you were having trouble explaining your current thoughts. You know, as people who think and express we fumble around attempting describe things as best we can. Our minds automatically label...others and ourselves as this or that. Courtesy of the human mind, an ingrained need to define everything because anything beyond our own understanding is terrifying and also possibly (probably) dangerous. It's not hard to imagine that words might fail us, that language could never really do something as immense and unfathomable as a being beyond size, form and time the complete justice it deserves.

I agree with the above. Different souls, different paths yet all are one one and the same. I'll continue to use my heart as a compass and aim to keep faith that it shall light the way!l.s.https://www.blogger.com/profile/10304250605693922815noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7828542057592098210.post-75534956626116631022010-05-20T22:45:49.744+10:002010-05-20T22:45:49.744+10:00Everyone has their own path to tread.
